Shri Vitthalnathji Gusainji Pragatya — the appearance day of Mahaprabhuji's son Gusainji at Charanat on Magh Krishna Navami, 1515 CE. Gusainji organized the entire Pushti Marg seva-system — the seven nidhi-svarups (Shrinathji, Mathuradhishji, Vitthalnathji, Dwarkadhishji, Gokulnathji, Madanmohanji, Balkrishnaji) entrusted to his seven sons; the eight-time daily haveli seva (Mangala, Shringar, Gwala, Rajbhog, Utthapan, Bhog, Sandhya-Aarti, Shayan); the Ashtachhap kavi-mandali; and the formal seva-rasa categories.

श्री गोपीजनवल्लभाय नमः

Shri Gopijana-Vallabhaaya Namah

Salutations to the Beloved of the Gopis — the Krishna-svarup of Pushti Marg invoked daily by Gusainji at the Shrinathji haveli.

How to recite

Recite the Vidvan-Mandan and the Shringara-rasa-mandan (Gusainji's two principal Sanskrit works on Pushti Marg seva-rasa) at sunrise. Sing the padas of all eight Ashtachhap kavis whom Gusainji organized into the formal seva-kirtan order at the Shrinathji haveli. Visit the Vitthalnathji Haveli at Nathdwara or the Gusainji Beithak at Jatipura on Mt. Govardhan if possible.

Benefits

Shri Vitthalnathji Gusainji appeared on this day (Magh Krishna Navami, 1515 CE) at Charanat to Mahaprabhuji and Smt. Mahalakshmi. Gusainji organized the seven nidhi-svarups across the Saptama Gosvami parampara, formalized the eight-time daily seva at the Shrinathji haveli, and inducted the eight Ashtachhap kavis (Surdas + 3 disciples of Mahaprabhuji + Govindswami + 3 disciples of Gusainji) whose padas became the seva-kirtan corpus. His grace gives the bhakta access to the eight rasa-bhavas of Shrinathji-seva.

✦ Special Note

The Vitthalnathji Haveli at Nathdwara holds a special Gusainji-paath. Jatipura on Mt. Govardhan (Gusainji's principal beithak where he received Shrinathji's seva-mukhiya darshan) becomes a centre of pilgrimage. Dates per the Utsav Tippani published by Nathdwara Mandir Seva Mandal on pushtimarg.net (pushtimarg.net/new-updates/utsav-tippani/).
