Sat Saheb. Dadu Dayal — absorbed in samadhi.

How to recite

Phalgun Purnima is observed by the Dadu Panth as the Nirvan Divas (mahasamadhi anniversary) of Sant Dadu Dayal — he is said to have left his body at Naraina in 1603 CE on this tithi. While the rest of North India celebrates Holi, Dadu Panthis observe a fast, gather at the Dadu Dham Naraina samadhi for all-day kirtan of the Dadu Bani, and conclude with bhandara. The Mahant of Naraina leads the principal observance.

Benefits

Observance of the nirvan tithi at Naraina is regarded as direct connection to the satguru's samadhi-shakti. Pilgrims travel from across Rajasthan, Haryana, and the Dadu Panth diaspora.
