Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami Punyatithi — Aso Vad 12 — the akshar-vihar anniversary of the first Aksharbrahman guru of the BAPS line, who returned to the Lord on October 14, 1867 at Gondal. The Akshar Mandir at Gondal — built around his samadhi place by Shastriji Maharaj — is the principal pilgrimage spot for this day.

Mahamantra jaap, reading from the Swamini Vato (the 1,478 spiritual instructions of Gunatitanand Swami). Visit a BAPS mandir for the remembrance assembly. Reflect on Gunatitanand Swami's 40-year mahantship at Junagadh during which he gave the Swamini Vato — the foundational scripture of the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan.
Benefits
On Aso Vad 12 (October 14, 1867), Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami returned to Akshardham at Gondal after an 82-year life of which 40 years were spent as mahant of Junagadh. The Swamini Vato — recorded by his disciple Balmukunddas Swami and others — preserves his daily spiritual instructions and is studied alongside the Vachanamrut of Bhagwan Swaminarayan at every BAPS mandir.

Per the official BAPS calendar (baps.org). Visit the Akshar Mandir at Gondal (Saurashtra) if possible — Shastriji Maharaj built this mandir directly over Gunatitanand Swami's samadhi place to honour the eternal Aksharbrahman. The Swamini Vato katha runs at every BAPS mandir today.
