The complex was built in 5 years by 11,000 artisans and 4,000 BAPS volunteers. Listed by Guinness World Records as the 'World's Largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple'. Receives 7,000+ visitors daily.

Per the official BAPS calendar (baps.org). The annual pratishtha mahotsav is observed every November 6 with grand abhishekam, special katha by senior BAPS sadhus, and a public mahaprasad assembly. Visit if you can — entry is free; closed Mondays. The 'Sahajanand Darshan' exhibition halls and the 'Sanskruti Vihar' boat-ride are essential parts of any Akshardham darshan.
