The disappearance day of Sri Sanatana Goswami — Asadha Shukla Caturdashi — eldest of the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan, author of the Hari-bhakti-vilasa, the Brihad-bhagavatamrita, the Dasama-tippani, and the discoverer of Sri Madana-mohana. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's 2-month personal instructions to Sri Sanatana at Varanasi are the foundation of Gaudiya Vaishnava theology.

Read from the Hari-bhakti-vilasa or the Brihad-bhagavatamrita (Sri Sanatana Goswami's masterworks). Offer flowers and tulsi at the picture or vigraha of Sri Sanatana. Chant 16 rounds of Hare Krishna.
Benefits
Sri Sanatana Goswami (1488–1558) was the eldest of the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu personally instructed him for two months at Varanasi — these instructions form the Brihad-bhagavatamrita. Sri Sanatana excavated Madana-mohana, the first of the seven principal deities of Vrindavan, and authored the Hari-bhakti-vilasa (the Vaishnava book of conduct), the Brihad-bhagavatamrita, and Dasama-tippani.

Per the Mayapur Vaishnava Calendar. Sri Sanatana and Sri Rupa Goswamis are the two principal teachers (siksha-gurus) of every Gaudiya Vaishnava devotee. Visit Sri Sanatana's bhajan-kutir at Madana-mohana mandir in Vrindavan if possible.
