Phoolon wali Holi (Holi with flowers) is the Pushti Marg tradition of celebrating Holi on Falgun Purnima with fragrant flowers rather than synthetic colours. Shrinathji's svarupa is showered with roses, marigolds, and spring blossoms. Devotees gather at the haveli to sing Holi songs, play with flowers, and share thandai and prasad — re-enacting the Braj Holi of Krishna's time

Mantra

Shri Krishnah Sharanam Mama

The Pushti Marg Ashtakshara

Shri Krishna is my one refuge — I surrender entirely

How to recite

On Phoolon wali Holi, gather fragrant flowers — roses, marigolds, chameli, and whatever blooms are available. Offer a flower bhog to Shrinathji before playing Holi. Shower each other with flowers rather than chemical colours. Sing the Holi Dhrupad compositions and Holi songs of Pushti Marg saints. Share thandai and prasad. The day is a pure expression of Braj bhakti.

Benefits

Holi in Pushti Marg is rooted in the Braj tradition of Krishna's divine play. Falgun Purnima is celebrated at Shrinathji's haveli with fragrant flowers rather than synthetic colours — honouring the ancient Braj tradition. Vallabhacharya described Holi as 'the festival of divine spring love' (Madhura Bhakti). The Phoolon wali Holi is the most visually beautiful seva in the Pushti Marg spring calendar.

✦ Special Note

Nathdwara's Phoolon wali Holi is one of the most beautiful traditions in all of Hinduism. In Pushti Marg havelis worldwide, Holi is first celebrated as a seva to Shrinathji — a flower shower for the divine child — before the community celebrates together. This is a day of pure Madhura Bhakti joy. Vikram Samvat 2082. Dates per the Utsav Tippani published by Nathdwara Mandir Seva Mandal on pushtimarg.net (pushtimarg.net/new-updates/utsav-tippani/).
