Tulsi Vivah — Karthika Shukla Dwadashi, the symbolic wedding of Tulsi (sacred basil, an incarnation of Vrinda) to Shaligram (Vishnu). Observed by Bishnoi families with morning tulsi-vrindavan decoration, full wedding vidhi for the plant-bride, and Mangal Aarti. The first auspicious wedding of the post-Chaturmas season; many Bishnoi families schedule their own marriages immediately after.

Mantra
विष्णो विष्णो तू भजे रे प्राणी
Vishno Vishno tu bhaje re prani
O living being, chant Vishnu, chant Vishnu — Jambhoji's mool mantra, recited on Tulsi Vivah (Tulsi-Shaligram Wedding).
How to recite
Tulsi Vivah (Karthika Shukla Dwadashi, the day after Devuthani Ekadashi) is the symbolic wedding of Tulsi (the sacred basil plant, considered an incarnation of Vrinda) to Shaligram (a black ammonite stone considered a self-manifest form of Vishnu). At dawn, bathe and clean the tulsi-vrindavan (the raised platform where the family tulsi grows). Decorate the tulsi with a small red sari, bangles, vermilion, and turmeric. Place a Shaligram (or a small Vishnu/Krishna murti) beside her. Perform the wedding vidhi: garland exchange, kanyadan, mangalsutra, recitation of Vishnu mantras and Tulsi stotra. Conclude with Mangal Aarti and prasad distribution. The first marriage of the post-Chaturmas wedding season — Bishnoi families often schedule their daughters' weddings to follow this auspicious day.
Benefits
Tulsi is one of the most sacred plants in Vaishnava tradition — believed to be Vrinda, a devotee whose chastity Vishnu rewarded by accepting her in plant form. For Bishnois, who venerate every tree but particularly Khejri, Peepal, Banyan, and Tulsi, Tulsi Vivah is the year's most intimate plant-as-deity worship. The ritual reinforces the 29-niyam principle that plants are not lifeless — they are conscious beings deserving worship and protection.
