How to recite
On Pousha Purnima (the full moon coinciding with Pushya nakshatra), the Pushyabhisheka coronation of Lord Jagannath is performed at Puri — recalling Sri Rama's coronation at Ayodhya and the divine kingship of Jagannath over Niladri. Sodasa-upachara puja (16 ritual offerings) is performed at home. End the Margashira-cycle of Manabasa Gurubara with this maha-puja.
Benefits
Pushyabhisheka teaches that the Lord accepts coronation from the devotee — not only does the devotee serve the Lord, the Lord receives sovereignty from the devotee's love.
