Pooranmashi (Punjabi for Purnima) is the full moon day, observed monthly with special prayers, kirtan, and sangat at the Gurdwara. Many Sikhs take a sacred dip (Amrit Snan), recite the Sukhmani Sahib and Asa Di Vaar, and join in continuous ardas through the night. Historically associated with key Sikh events — Guru Nanak Dev Ji's enlightenment is also commemorated on Kartik Pooranmashi.

Benefits

Pooranmashi simran of Waheguru on the full moon brings the mind into stillness, deepens devotion, and strengthens the Sikh's connection to the Sangat (holy congregation) and Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
