Mantra

णमो अरिहंताणं णमो सिद्धाणं णमो आयरियाणं णमो उवज्झायाणं णमो लोए सव्वसाहूणं

Namo Arihantanam Namo Siddhanam Namo Ayariyanam Namo Uvajjhayanam Namo Loe Savva-Sahunam

I bow to the Arihantas · I bow to the Siddhas · I bow to the Acharyas · I bow to the Upadhyayas · I bow to all the Sadhus — the five supreme beings

How to recite

Recite 108 times daily. Each day contemplate the dharma of that day alongside the mantra. Daily Samayik and Pratikraman are essential throughout Das Lakshana.

✦ Special Note

Each of the 10 days is dedicated to one dharma: Day 1 Uttam Kshama (forgiveness) · Day 2 Mardava (humility) · Day 3 Arjava (honesty) · Day 4 Shaucha (purity) · Day 5 Satya (truth) · Day 6 Sanyam (restraint) · Day 7 Tapa (austerity) · Day 8 Tyaga (charity) · Day 9 Akinchanya (non-attachment) · Day 10 Brahmacharya (celibacy). Sectarian difference: Shvetambara Paryushana = 8 days (Sep 8–15, 2026), ending on Samvatsari · Digambara Das Lakshana = 10 days (Sep 16–25, 2026), followed by Kshamavani (Sep 27). Both traditions are valid — follow your own sect's practice. Dates per Drik Panchang's Jain calendar (drikpanchang.com).
